Kian is a Senior Policy Officer for investment management at ESMA in Paris where he acts, inter alia, as the Rapporteur of the ESMA group (IMSC-OWG) in charge of supervisory convergence work in the area of investment management. Before joining ESMA, Kian worked as Legal & Compliance Officer for an asset management group in Luxembourg and Germany. Prior to that, he held legal, advisory and industry positions in the area of asset management in Germany, Luxembourg, UK and Canada. Kian is a German qualified attorney by education, having passed the First State Examination in Hanover, Lower Saxony and the Second State Examination (Bar Exam) at the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz, Germany.
